Retro St. Patrick’s Day Classroom Decor

As we begin the month of March, we all know it’s time to break out the green decor and leprechaun hats! But this year, instead of the same old St. Paddy’s Day decorations, charm your students with a little retro flair! You can create such a light-hearted and groovy vibe with a 1970s-styled theme. Retro St. Patrick’s Day classroom decor is a fun way to add old-school appeal to your classroom while still celebrating in style. So let’s dive into all things shamrock with this retro twist on St. Patrick’s Day decor!
St. Patrick’s Day Decor with a Retro Twist
I’m loving the checkered look so much right now! And I think it goes so well with a St. Patrick’s theme. In this design, I chose a robin’s egg blue and a mellow yellow color to compliment several shades of green. This color palette really makes the design feel light and spunky! And the checkered patterns add such a fun, bold look.
In this St. Patrick’s Day Bulletin Board Kit, the decor images really create the retro vibe we’ve been talking about. Smiley faces, a disco ball, daisies – they make this display instantly groovy! But this theme wouldn’t be complete without a few of the classics, like a rainbow and clovers.
What really takes this bulletin board kit to the next level is the included student activity! Students share reasons why they’re lucky on each of the clover leaves on the included template. Then you can add their completed clovers to your display! Spread them throughout your classroom to surround your students with positive-thinking all month. Plus, it’s a great way to extend your decorations throughout your space!

Retro Themed Classroom Posters and Door Decorations
If you’re looking for a quick way to decorate for the holiday, these Retro St. Patrick’s Day Classroom Posters are the way to go! The posters are so easy to print and hang, but you can also pair them with one of the included decorative borders to really make your display standout!
Classroom posters have been a favorite among middle school and high school teachers to easily add a festive feel to their classrooms. But these work great in elementary classrooms too!
Ok, let’s talk about door decorations. I’ve been creating door decor kits for a couple of years now, but this is the very first St. Patrick’s themed kit I’ve made specifically to decorate your classroom door!
This Retro St. Patrick’s Day Door Decor Kit includes 3 pre-made signs for you to choose from. Or you can create your own saying with the text editable version included. And these signs are oversized so they really stand out on your door! But you don’t need to take them to a fancy printing shop. You can actually enlarge your classroom signs during printing using your regular printer at home or school!
A-Z Bulletin Board Letters
One of the things I love most about teachers is how creative they are! Over the years, I’ve gotten so many requests for custom sayings to use with my bulletin board kits. So last year I started creating full sets of A-Z letters that match my designs. This way, you can spell anything you want to on your displays! I love seeing the fun and unique ways teachers are using these letters in their classrooms!
Plus, now there are even more options with 2 font choices! This this theme, there’s a playful font option, and also a more primary font version so you can choose which works best for your classroom. Best of all, each of these sets includes upper and lower case letters, punctuation, and numbers. So you can truly customize your displays!
