Halloween Activity, Fall Writing, If My Teacher Turned Into a Witch or Frankenstein

This is such a fun Halloween writing prompt for your students. They will love dreaming up what you (their teacher) would be like as a witch or as Frankenstein! There’s also an option included to write about the school principal! I’ve had hundreds of teachers tell me this was their absolute favorite writing project of the whole year! And you can display the final products as fun, creative Halloween classroom decorations afterward!

This is the perfect no-prep activity for Halloween for your classroom! This resource works great for 1st through 4th grade classrooms, but can also be used with Kindergarten, 5th and 6th grade as well.

• Brainstorm Pages – This is to help your students work through their ideas for any of the 4 writing prompts provided. I find that using a brainstorm activity like this first helps students come up with much better and unique ideas! Brainstorm pages with and without prompts are included!
• Practice Sentence Sheets – From the brainstorm I move to the practice sentences worksheet. This helps students go from one or two words to forming complete sentences with correct spelling and punctuation.
• Final Draft Writing Pages – Once students’ practice sentences look good, they can transfer those sentences onto their final draft paper. I’ve included regular and primary lined paper to match your students’ needs. The following prompts are included:
