If the weather outside is frightful, then your classroom should be a place of cozy comfort! That was my inspiration for this Modern Winter Classroom Decor. I live in Idaho, where we definitely have chilly winters. But even when it isn’t winter (or all that cold outside), I like to have my fireplace on! Actually, I’ve got my fireplace going 70 percent of the year, simply because it calms me. So I made a welcoming fireplace the centerpiece of this winter design. Maybe it will have the same effect on your students?! Read on to learn about recreating this peaceful vibe in your classroom!

Modern Winter Decor with Familiar Twists
This refreshing winter theme has all the charm you’re craving on cool winter days complimented by clean, modern designs. Familiar plaid patterns bring a comforting feel to this theme, while warm golds, greens, and neutrals create warmth.
And this Modern Winter Bulletin Board Kit includes more ways to customize than ever before! Add your students’ names to the display on the winter beanie hats (shown above) or on the included sweaters. Or you could add your students’ photos to the sweaters or beneath the hats, and include them in your display! There’s even a short writing activity included where students share what they love about winter on a template shaped like a sweater. It’s so easy to personalize this design for your class, and make it a truly unique display!
Modern Winter Classroom Posters
If you need an unbelievably quick way to decorate your classroom this winter season, then classroom posters are for you! No cutting required – just print, place on your board or wall, and you’re done! So easy! These Modern Winter Classroom Posters can also be enlarged or shrunk during printing to fit the space you’re decorating even more.
Both the bulletin board kit and the classroom posters set include two borders to choose from to frame your displays! They’re shown in the photo below. I love to use these decorative borders as an inner border, while I frame the outside of my bulletin boards with a more generic border that I can leave up all year. It saves time, energy, and money when you can use a versatile border throughout the year! This simple window pane border is one I’m loving this year and it goes with so many different themes!

Must-Have Classroom Decorating Tools
So many people over the years have asked for custom sayings to compliment my bulletin board designs. Teachers are so creative with the slogans and unique classroom sayings they create. There’s no way I could keep up with modifying every theme with these one-of-a-kind quotes! So this year I introduced the most customizable resource yet: A-Z bulletin board letter sets!
These sets match my most popular themes, including each of the new designs I’ve been creating this year! Like these Modern Winter A-Z Bulletin Board Letters. This means that you get to choose from 3 different styles of upper and lower case letters, and design your special sayings for your classroom displays!
Another popular decoration that truly sets the mood is a well decorated door! I love making this something teachers can really personalize as well, with text editable signs and decorations that students’ names can be included on. This Modern Winter Classroom Door Decor Kit is so warm and inviting! Can you imagine a more cozy door display?!
