Free Christmas Activities For Your Classroom
Share this Post
I’ve put together some fun and free Christmas activities for you to use in your classroom this year!
Who doesn’t love some Christmas Freebies?! I have two great resources to share with you in this post: a Christmas activity book and Christmas themed bookmarks!
Christmas Activity Book
First, I created an activity book that includes a bunch of fun and engaging ways to get in the mood for Christmas. This activity book is geared toward 1st-4th graders, but if you think it’s appropriate for your classroom outside of those grades, go for it!
Students can use this as an early finisher project or as a fun Friday activity!
They can color the cover and make it their own. I recommend printing the cover on card stock either in white or a fun Christmas color!
You can grab this activity book (and the bookmarks described later in this post) by simply subscribing to my email list below! Youāll get my weekly newsletter loaded with classroom decor tips, updates, and access to great freebies like this!
The rest of the activity book includes the following pages:
1. Christmas Wish List
Students can write their Christmas wishes and draw pictures of them. It’s so fun to see what each student is wishing for!
2. Christmas Acrostic Poem
This is fun to do with a partner! Students brainstorm to come up with Christmas themed words that start with the letters in the word Christmas.
3. Christmas Words Page
I created a fun page that includes many Christmas themed words in different fonts for students to color and then refer to in their writing and other activities in the book!
4. My Christmas Story
Get their creative minds flowing by encouraging students to write a story about Christmas. You could even have your students read their final stories out loud to the class. It’s always a good idea to warn them that they will be sharing their stories with other students before they begin writing. I discovered that it improved their focus and creativity when writing if they knew they were going to be sharing it!
5. Gift Ideas Brainstorm Page
Help your students focus on giving instead of getting! They can brainstorm who they want to give gifts to and draw their ideas. You can go even further and have them write a plan for how they will earn money to buy those gifts!
6. Christmas Word Game
How many words can you make out of the letters in the word “Christmas?” You can even make this a classroom challenge, and whoever comes up with the most words wins a prize!
7. Oh Christmas Tree
Finally, they can decorate their own Christmas tree. It’s fun to play Christmas music while they do this, and if you’re feeling adventurous/brave you can even get out the glitter for the stars on top!
Christmas Bookmarks
Next we have a fun student gift! Bookmarks are easy, cheap, and fun to make for your students! You can hand them out for good behavior or even add them to their Christmas gift from you! I’ve included ones that print in color and one black and white option in case you’d rather let your students color them on their own.
Remember to subscribe to my email list to grab these bookmarks, including the Christmas activity book!
I hope you and your students enjoy these free Christmas activities! Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!
