Mountain Classroom Decor
I have wanted to create this mountain themed classroom decor collection for over a year! I just didn’t know how it would all come together, so I kept putting it off. Once I finally started creating it, I realized it could end up being one of my favorite creations yet!

I wanted this mountain theme to have a somewhat modern/Scandinavian feel, and I love how it turned out. Hopefully you do too! Below I’ll share with you what you’ll need to create this look in your classroom!
Bulletin Board Paper
I’m frequently asked where I get my wooden plank bulletin board paper from. Versions of it seem to be everywhere, but there are different qualities and colors. I grab mine from Amazon. I really like the Fadeless Weathered Paper because it can withstand a lot of wear and tear, and (as the name suggests) it doesn’t fade!
Bulletin Board Border
This loop -de-loop border is my new, absolute favorite! It’s one that could be left up all year long and will go with anything you put on your board. You can’t beat that! I get mine from Lakeshore Learning. But be warned – if you go into that store you may come out broke like I tend to.
Teacher Toolbox
I bought my toolbox years ago at Lowe’s, of all places, and spray painted it this blue color. I’m so glad I did because somehow it has matched every single collection I’ve ever put together! Sadly, Lowe’s doesn’t sell this exact box anymore, but you can grab a similar one here from Amazon. The good news is that it’s easy to shrink or enlarge the labels I created when you print them if the box you purchase has slightly different dimensions. I’ve also written a separate post all about the teacher toolbox in case you want to know more about how to make one.
Classroom Printables
Last, but definitely not least, you’ll want to grab this Mountain Themed Classroom Decor Collection from either my website store or my Teachers Pay Teachers shop. It has over 800 pages of printables along with editable resources to make it fit exactly what you need in your space. You can check out the preview to see all that’s included! Also, this decor bundle is now available in Spanish!
As always, if you use this theme in your classroom, I’d LOVE to see it! Share your photos with me on Instagram @ashleymckenziedecor. You can also see all of my classroom decor collections here. It seriously makes my day to see any of my creations in your classroom!
